The LA Kings are looking to make some off-season trades. They will likely target one of Jack Eichel, Johhny Gaudreau or Mattias Ekholm.

The LA Kings have over $20 million in cap space, a plethora of prospects and draft picks and GM Rob Blake will be looking to make some trades or sign free agents this summer.

His mandate for next season is to make the playoffs and contend for the Stanley Cup. Veteran players Anze Kopitar and Drew Doughty would like to see GM Blake make some moves to contend.

NHL Trade Rumors earlier in the season had the Kings showing interest in Buffalo Sabres star Jack Eichel. The Kings have the assets and cap space to make a trade with Buffalo.

If an Eichel trade does not pan out, you can expect GM Blake to target Johnny Gaudreau, Evgeny Kuznetsov and defenseman Mattias Ekholm.

Blake also has the free agent option of looking at signing Taylor Hall or Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. Either way, if it is through trade or free agency, the LA kings will be looking to contend next year.
