Earlier in the year there were NHL Trade Rumors going around that the Buffalo Sabres could trade Jack Eichel. NHL Rumors had the New York Rangers and LA Kings interested in Eichel.
TSN’s Darren Dreger was on WGR 550 and was asked about Jack Eichel and what the Sabres will do with him? Dreger stated, “I don’t see Sabres forward Jack Eichel playing in Buffalo next season. I believe there’s a team out west that’s expressed interest in Eichel.”
Dreger went on to say, “Somebody’s going to have to pay the right price to trade for Sabres captain Jack Eichel. If they don’t get the return needed, then he’ll stay in Buffalo. It feels like it’s time for a change.”
Dreger has heard the LA Kings are interested in the Sabres captain. Eichel in LA makes a ton of sense to Dreger. Assuming Jack Eichel is in play, there will be a lot of teams that step up.
The one other team that could step up and make the trade for Eichel is the New York Rangers as they have the assets to make the trade.
The off-season will be very interesting to see what Buffalo does with Eichel and will they trade him?
