Seattle scored 12 goals against Calgary in two games. Friday, October 30, brings a new fantasy question: can the Kraken sustain that offense without Jared McCann?
McCann is sidelined for roughly 10 weeks, but Seattle enters at 8–4–1 with 48 goals in 13 games. Chandler Stephenson has 11 points; Jordan Eberle, Berkly Catton, Brandon Montour and Kaapo Kakko have 10 apiece. That scoring depth makes Seattle dangerous, even if one line goes quiet. The Kraken also scored five against Toronto on Wednesday, with Brandon Montour striking late for the winner.
Calgary has a 29.0% power play facing Seattle’s 67.6% penalty kill, making Joel Farabee and Matt Coronato especially interesting. Dustin Wolf is expected back in Calgary’s crease after Devin Cooley was injured against Edmonton. I’ll monitor both power-play units and who inherits McCann’s minutes. That could matter more to fantasy managers than the final score.

Seattle Kraken vs. Calgary Flames Fantasy Hockey Matchup Outlook
Seattle scores 3.69 goals per game; Calgary scores 2.33. Despite two 6–1 wins, I expect Calgary to offer more resistance.
Special teams could swing fantasy value: Seattle’s 22.7% power play contrasts with Calgary’s 29.0%. Calgary also has the superior penalty kill (83.8% versus 67.6%).

NHL Fantasy Players to Watch in Seattle Kraken vs. Calgary Flames
Stephenson has assist upside but little shot volume. Eberle and Bobby McMann offer more goal-and-shot potential; Montour and Vince Dunn bring offensive blue-line minutes.
Catton (four goals, six assists) is my upside watch alongside Kakko and Shane Wright. Calgary’s Farabee (11 points), Coronato (10) and Gridin (four goals) deserve attention for power-play usage.

Injuries and Absences That Could Affect Fantasy Value
McCann’s lower-body injury removes Seattle’s best-established finisher. Recalled Jani Nyman could gain minutes; Samoskevich also has opportunity. Ryan Lindgren, Jacob Melanson and Jake O’Brien are unavailable.
Huberdeau (hip) and Honzek are out for Calgary, while Othmann has an upper-body concern. Cooley’s injury increases Wolf’s workload. Friday recalls William Stromgren and Arsenii Sergeev do not guarantee lineup spots.

Seattle Kraken vs. Calgary Flames Fantasy Hockey Prediction
MY SCORE PREDICTION: Seattle Kraken 4 – Calgary Flames 3.
I favor Seattle’s scoring depth, but Wolf’s expected return and Calgary’s power play should make this closer than the first two meetings.
I favor Eberle, Stephenson and Montour for Seattle; Farabee and Coronato counter for Calgary. Daccord appears in Seattle’s projected lineup, not as a confirmed starter.
What I’m watching: Seattle’s McCann replacement, Catton’s ice time and Parekh’s PP1 role. Usage changes can outlast this game.
