Macklin Celebrini has the biggest individual fantasy ceiling in Monday’s Calgary Flames–San Jose Sharks matchup, but I’m watching Joel Farabee most closely. Calgary’s winger has 15 points through 14 games; Celebrini owns 16 in just 13. Their ability to generate opportunities will shape the November 2, 2026 fantasy outlook. There is also a goaltending question: both teams are allowing more than three goals per game, creating potential upside for attacking skaters but risk for managers chasing a win or save percentage.
Special teams are the twist. Calgary has converted one-third of its power plays, far better than its overall offence suggests. If Matt Coronato and rookie defenceman Zayne Parekh retain prime offensive assignments, their fantasy value rises. San Jose counters with Celebrini’s playmaking, Will Smith’s finishing and emerging rookie Ivar Stenberg.
What I’m watching: which team controls dangerous chances before defensive breakdowns turn this into a high-event game? That matters more than the standings.

Calgary Flames vs. San Jose Sharks Fantasy Hockey Prediction
MY SCORE PREDICTION: Calgary Flames 3 – San Jose Sharks 4. I prefer San Jose at home, led by Celebrini’s creativity. Calgary’s PP or a late goalie change could reverse that pick.
My fantasy takeaway matters beyond the score: monitor Parekh’s PP1 assignment and Stenberg’s minutes. Sustained premium deployment would make either rookie more attractive.
