A few weeks ago NHL Trade Rumors had the Winnipeg Jets targeting Mattias Ekholm. With the Nashville Predators turning around their season in the past few weeks, it is believed the Preds might not be sellers at the NHL Trade Deadline.
Frank Seravalli of TSN reports the Jets are seeking a defenseman, preferably a rental if Nashville’s Mattias Ekholm isn’t available.
Seravalli suggests the Jets could target Columbus Blue Jackets’ David Savard, Dallas Stars’ Jamie Oleksiak, Anaheim Ducks’ Josh Manson, Buffalo Sabres’ Brandon Montour or the Chicago Blackhawks’ Nikita Zadorov.
The Jets will have some competition in trading for a defenceman as the Philadelphia Flyers, Florida Panthers and Boston Bruins are all looking for a Dman.
