The Toronto Maple Leafs have now watched the Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Panthers and Boston Bruins make some big moves at this years NHL trade deadline.
The Leafs were in on the Brandon Hagel trade but GM Kyle Dubas did not want to give up first round draft picks.
Elliotte Friedman was on the pregame show for Hockey Night in Canada and reported the Maple Leafs will trade for one of Mark Giordano, Jacob Middleton or Justin Braun.
Friedman went on to say that Travis Dermott would likely be the player traded by the Leafs at the 2022 NHL trade deadline. Petr Mrazek could also be on the move if the Leafs can find a taker.
