Josh Manson, Ben Chiarot are the popular defenceman names that have been in the NHL trade rumor mill the past few months. A new name has popped up recently and that is San Jose Sharks defenceman Jacob Middleton.
Pierre LeBrun was on TSN’s Insider Trading and reports a number of teams are showing interest in a Jacob Middleton trade. He is playing a top four role in San Jose, has toughness and the price is right with a $725,000 is his salary cap hit.
LeBrun went on to say, the Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning have inquired about a trade.
San Jose is asking for a second-round pick, plus another pick or a prospect in a trade package, pretty high price similar to the Josh Manson deal.
