Conor Garland’s name has been mentioned in the NHL rumors mill for the past few months with nothing materializing. Could this be the weekend he is traded?
Elliotte Friedman was on the Jeff Marek radio show and stated, the LA Kings and Vancouver Canucks have been in touch off and on quite a bit over the last little while, I do think that Conor Garland is a name that has come up between the two teams.
Friedman went on to say, I don’t know if a trade is going to happen or not. Friedman has heard the Kings are not crazy about giving up their 2022 first round pick and I think that draft picks are what the Canucks really want in a Garland trade.
Garland, 26, has a salary cap hit of $4,950,000 and signed for another four years. He was drafted 123rd overall by the Arizona Coyotes in the 5th round of the 2015 entry draft.
