NHL Predictions 2023

Vezina Trophy

The Vezina Trophy is always hard to predict on who the best goalie will be. It will likely be between New York Rangers Igor Shesterkin or Tampa Bay Lighting netminder Andrei Vasilevskiy.

Here is our top 5 picks to win the Vezina Trophy 2022-23.

  1. Igor Shesterkin
  2. Andrei Vasilevskiy
  3. Ilya Sorokin
  4. Thatcher Demko
  5. Jacob Markstrom

We have two dark horse picks in Dallas Stars goalie Jake Oettinger and the Toronto Maple Leafs Matt Murray.

Hart Trophy

Connor McDavid is the best player in the world but that does not mean he will win the Hart Trophy. Auston Matthews took that honor last year and he can once again.

Here is our top 5 picks to with the Hart Trophy 2022-23 edition.

  1. Connor McDavid
  2. Auston Matthews
  3. Kirill Kaprisov
  4. Jonathan Huberdeau
  5. Cale Makar

Our two dark horse picks for the Hart Trophy in 2023 are Nathan MacKinnon and Mitch Marner.

Calder Trophy

The rookie of the year in the NHL is another award hard to predict, unless you are an elite talent like Auston Matthews, Connor MaDavid or Connor Bedard next year, the Calder Trophy is not an easy one to predict.

Here is our top 5 picks to win the Calder Trophy 2022-23 edition.

  1. Matty Beniers
  2. Mason McTavish
  3. Owen Power
  4. William Eklund
  5. Kent Johnson

Our dark horse picks for the Calder Trophy 2022-23 edition is Shane Wright. He has a chip on his shoulder after being passed over by the Montreal Canadiens at the 2022 NHL Draft and if he is given full opportunity to play this year, he will challenge for the Calder.

Norris Trophy

Like the Hart Trophy, the Norris Trophy will be Cale Makar’s to loose. As long as he does not get injured, he should win the Norris Trophy.

Here is our top 5 picks to challenge for the Norris Trophy 2022-23 edition.

  1. Cale Makar
  2. Roman Josi
  3. Adam Fox
  4. Aaron Ekblad
  5. Victor Hedman

Our dark horse picks to win the Norris Trophy 2022-23 are Quinn Hughes and Morgan Rielly.

If Vancouver can live up to expectations and stay healthy, Hughes should put up great offensive numbers. Rielly always seems to hover around 60 points, but if this is the Leafs year to breakout, Rielly should put up points on the powerplay and 5 on 5.

Art Ross Trophy

The Art Ross Trophy winner for the 2022-23 season is a little easier to predict. As long as Connor McDavid does not get injured, he will win another Art Ross.

Auston Matthews will challenge for the scoring title along with McDavid’s teammate Leon Draisaitl. But this trophy is McDavid’s to lose.

Here is our top 5 picks to challenge for the Art Ross Trophy 2022-23 edition.

  1. Connor McDavid
  2. Auston Matthews
  3. Leon Draisaitl
  4. Nathan MacKinnon
  5. Kirill Kaprisov

Our dark horse picks for the Art Ross Trophy 2022-23 edition are Mitch Marner and Johnny Gaudreau. Marner feeds the puck to Matthews and he can score, we see Marner hitting over 100 points this season.

Can Gaudreau click with Patrik Laine? If he does, Gaudreau could challenge for the scoring title like he did last season with the Calgary Flames.

Stanley Cup Winner 2023
