In the latest NHL trade rumors rundown, it is looking like Ben Chiarot will be traded sooner rather than a NHL trade deadline day deal. The Florida Panthers, Toronto Maple Leafs and St. Louis Blues are teams that showed interest in a trade before the Christmas break.
Frank Seravalli of the Daily Faceoff reports besides the Panthers and Blues, the Vegas Golden Knights, Colorado Avalanche, Washington Capitals and the New York Rangers have interest in a Chiarot trade.
Seravalli went on to say, Chiarot will have some control on where he is traded to as he does own a 10-team “no trade list” and the ability to influence a deal with his interest in an extension.
It is believed the Habs are asking for a first round pick in a Chiarot trade and they will likely get that asking price.
