Will the Toronto Maple Leafs trade for Taylor Hall? Or should the Leafs focus on trading for a gritty type player for a long playoff run?

Elliotte Friedman was recently on Wednesday Night Hockey and on his segment he continues to report the Toronto Maple Leafs are looking to add a top 6 forward to the team.

Alex Galchenyuk has fit in well with John Tavares and William Nylander, but Friedman feels GM Kyle Dubas wants another top line forward and that player is Taylor Hall.

Before anyone says, the Leafs do not have the cap space to make a trade, the Leafs can trade out salary for a Hall trade to happen.

Landing Hall would require the Buffalo Sabres to retain 50% of his salary and Alex Kerfoot going the other way, but it could be worth it if Dubas is willing to go all-in.

The right move for the Toronto Maple Leafs to make is to trade for some grit as those are the type of players you need for a long playoff run. The Leafs have the offence but need more grit.
