A few weeks ago all the NHL rumors chatter was about the Edmonton Oilers making a trade for Marc-Andre Fleury and Evander Kane signing with the Oilers. Rumors now have the Washington Capitals wanting both players.
The Daily Faceoff reports there is a greater than 50 percent chance we could see a whole new goaltender in net for the Capitals come playoff time. And the goaltender they will target is Marc-Andre Fleury.
Samantha Pell of the Washington Post stated the Capitals definitely need to make a trade for a goalie. Pell went on to say, when you look deeper into the numbers they’ve given up a lot of goals in a lot of starts. The Capitals have had no consistency from that standpoint.
As was reported earlier in Fleury rumors, he has a 10 team no-trade clause, plus the Colorado Avalanche also have interest in a Fleury trade.
