NHL rumors for March 4, 2022 feature the Toronto Maple Leafs looking to make a Brock Boeser trade.

I know, I know another Toronto Maple Leafs rumor, but that is what all the NHL Insiders are chatting about the last few days. First it was the Leafs interested in a Max Domi trade, now NHL rumors are starting to swirl that the Leafs are interested in a Brock Boeser trade.

Pierre LeBrun was on TSN’s Insider Trading and reported Maple Leafs’ assistant general manager Laurence Gilman has been scouting the Vancouver Canucks the past two games.

LeBrun went on to say, we’re told Gilman was largely there to watch J.T. Miller but the Leafs also have an interest in a Boeser trade. Teams are being told that the Canucks would rather keep Miller and trade Boeser.

The asking price is believed to be slightly more modest on a Boeser trade than for a team looking to acquire Miller.

The Leafs should really target a defenceman like Josh Manson or Ben Chiarot but it is rumored that Kyle Dubas does not want to give up the asking price of Toronto’s 2022 first round draft pick for a Dman.

  1. The Leafs don’t need Brock Boeser or J.T. Miller. Toronto needs a gritty defenceman and a goalie that can stop a puck.

They will be knocked out of the first round of the playoffs again.

The team has no grit, desire, willing to sacrifice the body to make it through the playoffs. They are too soft.
