The Philadelphia Flyers underachieved last season and this season has not gone as planned. They have fired head coach Allan Vigneault, could the next big move be the Flyers look at a Ivan Provorov trade and move him while his value is still high.
Adam Herman of The Bleacher Report suggests, it is time for the Flyers to rebuild and they should look a trading Provorov.
Herman went on to say that GM Chuck Fletcher should seriously let teams know he is available, he has struggled with the Flyers these past 18 months and a change of scenery might do him well.
Provorov has a $6.75 million cap hit until 2025 is starting to look more like a burden than a luxury for the Flyers but he still does hold high value and other teams still might look at him as a No. 1 defenceman.
Provorov, 24, does not own a no-trade clause so there would be no restrictions on what team he could be traded to.
