Picture of Pierre-Luc Dubois. Will he be traded this summer to the Montreal Canadiens?
The Montreal Canadiens will attempt to make a trade for Pierre-Luc Dubois this summer, if not, they will sign him next summer as a UFA.

With the tough injuries the Winnipeg Jets have faced against the Vegas Golden Knights in the first round on the 2023 NHL playoffs, it appears the Jets will be knocked out sooner rather than later in their first round series.

This is leading to speculation that Pierre-Luc Dubois could be traded this offseason to Montreal.

Even when he was with the Columbus Blue Jackets, he wanted to play for the Montreal Canadiens.

Pierre-Luc Dubois trade to Montreal

Pierre-Luc Dubois has been in the NHL trade rumors mill for some time and it appears this will be the last time we see him in a Winnipeg Jets jersey.

TVA Sports in Montreal is reporting that Pierre-Luc Dubois was expecting an offer sheet from the Montreal Canadiens back in 2020 when he was a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets, but Columbus had stated they would match any offer sheet and even freed up Blue Jackets salary cap space that year to match any offer.

Rumors have the Montreal Canadiens wanting to make a trade for Dubois this offseason but if a deal cannot be worked out, the Habs will wait until Free Agent Frenzy 2024 and sign him next summer to a long-term deal.

What are Habs fans saying about a potential Pierre-Luc Dubois trade?

Jets fan: What exactly does Pierre-Luc Dubois DO, anyway? Trade him to Montreal!

Still believe he will make more if he goes to the UFA market. He will probably be the best player available that year. But he wants to be a Hab.

The question is… Does Pierre-Luc Dubois has the personality to fit in and thrive with the vision for the Habs? No doubt he has the talent.
