TSN Radio 1050: Darren Dreger was on the Mike Richards show and he suggested that the Toronto Maple Leafs should trade forward Leo Komarov. With the way he is producing and his hard work ethic, Dreger feels the Leafs would get a 1st round pick for him. Since the Leafs are in re-build mode, Dregers says, trade him while he is playing well and get a great return.
Did the Islanders reject an offer for Byfuglien?
Sportsnet: Elliotte Friedman stated that the New York Islanders rejected an offer of defenseman Dustin Byfuglien from the Winnipeg Jets for blueliner Travis Hamonic. It is believed the Islanders want Jacob Trouba.
Predators seek top-line center
ESPN Nashville: Nashville Predators GM David Poile would like to acquire a top-line center. With Eric Staal, Colorado’s Matt Duchene, Columbus’ Ryan Johansen, Edmonton’s Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and San Jose’s Patrick Marleau have all surfaced in the rumor mill, not all are available and the asking price is too much for Poile to make a deal. If Poile wants Duchene or Johansen, he is looking at sending Seth Jones in return, which he will not do.
