Are the Boston Bruins looking to trade Loui Eriksson?

Boston Globe: The asking price for Loui Eriksson will be comparable to what the Arizona Coyotes received from the Chicago Blackhawks (first-round pick and a prospect) for center Antoine Vermette last season. The Bruins would like to get a young defenceman to replace Dougie Hamilton. The Nashville Predators and Minnesota Wild could be trade destinations, as they do have deep bluelines and need for offensive depth.

Will GM Peter Chiarelli make some trades?

Edmonton journal: The Edmonton Oilers are once again at the bottom of the NHL standings. Center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is the most likely player to be dealt, but when will it happen? Chiarelli recently said, “I’m not averse to making moves and I’ve had a lot of conversations in the last two weeks. It doesn’t mean we won’t make a move”. If the Oilers continue to hover around the bottom of the standing a trade could happen sooner rather than later.

What will the Jets do with  Andrew Ladd and Dustin Byfuglien?

Winnipeg Sun:  Ken Wiebe of the Sun believes it’s time for the Winnipeg Jets to re-sign left wing Andrew Ladd and defenseman Dustin Byfuglien or start listening to trade offers for them. Wiebe feels re-signing both now sends a message of stability to the Jets, but if they can’t be re-signed, it’s best to move them out for a return that can help the club.
