Christian Dvorak’s name was in the NHL trade rumors mill early last month before he got injured. Now that he is due back in the lineup this week, rumors are the Montreal Canadiens will look to complete a Dvorak trade.
Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports the goal for the Montreal Canadiens in the next few days is to trade Christian Dvorak.
Lavoie went on to say, “I know there are teams that are interested, like the Minnesota Wild among others. But we will see if these teams will be ready to accommodate his salary cap hit. He’s much more of a Western Conference forward than an Eastern Conference forward.”
Dvorak is under contract for another three years at a salary cap hit of $4.25 million and his no-trade clause does not kick in until the 2023-24 season where he has an eight team no trade list.
