NHL trade rumors for February 10, 2022 feature the Calgary Flames looking to make a Christian Dvorak trade.

NHL trade rumors were circulating earlier this week that the Calgary Flames are looking to trade for some secondary scoring and one player that they are looking at is Christian Dvorak.

Elliotte Friedman was on Sportsnet’s Jeff Marek Show and reports, one player I am wondering about who it didn’t play last night is Christian Dvorak…I’ve heard there is some traction in the West from teams who have seen him quite a bit and they’re like, this isn’t him, so we’ll see where it goes.

Jeff Marek went on to say, Dvorak and Matthew Tkachuk played with the London Knights together. Tkachuk would love to have Dvorak on his team and it appears Dvorak needs a change of scenery as he does not look engaged in Montreal.

Dvorak is under contract for another three years at a salary cap hit of $4.25 million and his no-trade clause does not kick in until the 2023-24 season where he has an eight team no trade list.

If the Flames are interested in a Christian Dvorak trade it will likely cost them a first round pick and top prospect.

  1. I sure hope they’re not thinking about getting Dvorak. The Canadiens players they should be looking at acquiring are Toffoli, Anderson at RW and Chiarot at LD.

If they get a center JT Miller or Tomas Hertl would be far better options for short term veteran help and Pavel Zaca or Jared McCann for younger cheaper long term solutions. There are plenty of other players who’d be much better fits in Calgary than Dvorak.
