The Montreal Canadiens have struggled to start the season and with Carey Price primed to be joining the lineup soon, NHL trade rumors are starting to circulate that the Montreal Canadiens could look to add a defenceman.

Would the Colorado Avalanche still be interested in trading Sam Girard? His name popped up in the NHL Rumors mill from a possible Jack Eichel trade. The Avs have stated they are not interested in trading Girard.
If the right offer comes along, you have to believe the Avs will listen as eventually Colorado will need salary cap space for the re-signing of Nathan MacKinnon and Bo Byram.
