Who are the top fantasy hockey goalies for the 2022 – 2023 NHL season?
Based off last year stats, the best goalie in the league was Igor Shesterkin and with the New York Rangers expected to contend for the Presidents Trophy this year, expect Shesterkin to put up huge numbers.
The fantasy goalie rankings below are based off wins, losses and shutouts and if your online hockey pool or fantasy hockey league weighs shutouts pretty heavily, you can look at Shesterkin, Juuse Saros of Nashville or Jacob Markstrom of Calgary.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are expected to be a top tier team but who will be the #1 goalie for the Leafs? No one knows. Will Matt Murray and Ilya Samsonov split time between the pipes? That is why we recommend you stay away from the Leaf goalies as we do not see them as top fantasy goalies.
Fantasy goalie sleeper picks could be new Colorado Avalanche goalie Alexandar Georgiev who could put up decent numbers if he can handle the duties of being a #1 goalie.
Jake Oettinger is another goalie to keep an eye on.
St. Louis Blues netminder Jordan Binnington should have a nice bounce back year with Ville Husso being traded to Detroit.
