The Vegas Golden Knights need to shed salary cap space this summer and it is no secret on who they would like the trade this summer.
Evgenii Dadonov was traded to the Anaheim Ducks at the NHL trade deadline but only to have the trade rejected by the NHL as the Ducks were on his 10-team no-trade list.
Frank Seravalli of The Daily Faceoff reports the Golden Knights will trade Dadonov this summer even though he finished the 2022 NHL campaign with 16 points in the last 16 games.
At the trade deadline, Vegas gave up a second round pick to the Ducks for the trade to be completed. Seravalli feels, the way Dadonov played down the stretch, the Golden Knights will likely not have to give up a second round pick this time.
Dadonov, 33, has one more season with a salary cap hit of $5 million. He finished the season with 43 points ( 20 goals, 23 assists ) in 78 games played.
