Teams are calling St. Louis Blue management about the availability of defenseman Colton Parayko. He could be moved at the trade deadline.

The St. Louis Blues will be active at the NHL trade deadline as they retool their team. Vladimir Tarasenko has already been traded and Ryan O’Reilly and Ivan Barbashev are likely to be moved also.

Blues management is also considering trading one of their defenseman and that dman is Colton Parayko.

Teams calling the Blues about Colton Parayko

Darren Dreger was on TSN’s Insider Trading segment and reported the St. Louis Blues are getting calls on Colton Parayko. He does own a no-trade clause, but could waive it for a playoff contending team.

Parayko, 29, has seven more years left on his deal with a Blues salary cap hit of $6.5 million.

What are Blues fans saying about a potential Colton Parayko trade?

Why when a team struggles, do people want to get rid of one of the few strong pieces? Parayko for the most part is very good

I’m a maybe do it, depends on the return obviously. I don’t think Parayko, Faulk, or Krug fit with our new timeline of competitive hockey.

Nobody is taking him. No one. That contract is an albatross and his value has never been lower. Not sure a team would take him if we GAVE UP assets to do it, much less for free.
