NHL Analyst Mike Johnson was on TSN Radio and speculates the Bruins will be the team willing to give up a lot this NHL trade deadline to get a player like Bo Horvat or Vladimir Tarasenko. - New York Rangers: The Blue Shirts have two first round picks in a deep 2023 NHL draft plus a plethora of prospects they could dangle. The Rangers feel they are Stanley Cup contenders and have been linked to J.T. Miller and Patrick Kane.
Alex Lafreniere or Kaapo Kakko could be part of a trade package if they want to land the big fish at the trade deadline. - Toronto Maple Leafs: The Leafs are in a win now mode. GM Kyle Dubas needs a first round playoff win to keep his job and Toronto will be in tough this year as their likely opponent is another first round showdown with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Maple Leafs have been linked to Arizona Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun and Nashville Predators Dman Mattias Ekholm.
