NHL trade rumors had the Buffalo Sabres shopping Sam Reinhart at the 2021 NHL trade deadline. With the Sabres looking to go into full re-build mode, Jack Eichel and Reinhart will likely be traded this off-season.

Ben Kuzma of The Province is reporting that the Vancouver Canucks are interested in making a trade for Reinhart and could offer the Canucks 2021 ninth-overall draft pick.

Kuzma states, Reinhart, a versatile and productive restricted free agent who can effectively play centre and wing, wants out of Buffalo and wants to move west. Kuzma thinks Reinhart would fit great playing on a line with Bo Horvat.

Sam Reinhart, 25, collected 25 goals, including 10 on the power play, for a team-high 40 points in 54 games on the league’s worst club.

If the Canucks want to be serious playoff contenders next year, GM Jim Benning will target Reinhart and will likely have to give up the ninth-overall pick in this years draft to get him.
