Now that the free agency frenzy period is over and teams have solidified their teams, the Vegas Golden Knights are still searching for a #1 center.
They would love to land Jack Eichel but lack the assets and the salary cap space to make a trade.
Nicolas J. Cotsonika of NHL.com reports the Golden Knights still need a No. 1 center. GM Kelly McCrimmon has stated the Golden Knights are happy with their centers after adding two this offseason in Nolan Patrick and Brett Howden, and Peyton Krebs could crack the roster.
Cotsonika went on to say, Patrick is slated for the bottom six but could benefit from a change of scenery. Don’t be surprised if he eventually moves into the top six to play with Mark Stone.
Vegas will likely start the season with the lineup projected below and likely make a move for a #1 center at some point during the season or at the 2022 NHL trade deadline.
