Mark Scheifele
NHL trade rumors for June 30, 2022 feature the New York Rangers interested in making a trade for center Mark Scheifele.

NHL trade rumors started circulating at the end of the regular season the Winnipeg Jets could look at trading center Mark Scheifele and the team that has been rumored with the most interest is the New York Rangers.

The Rangers would love to trade for Scheifele and forge a 1-2 partnership down the middle in New York with Mika Zibanejad.

Any deal on a Scheifele trade with the Rangers would include a discussion about centre Filip Chytil, wingers Alexis Lafreniere and Kaapo Kakko and defenceman Braden Schneider.

A Scheifele trade makes sense for the Rangers as it would bring more cost certainty, since he’s locked in at $6.125 million for the next two seasons, widening the window of contention for New York.

The Jets also have Pierre-Luc Dubois on the trade block as it was reported earlier this week that he wants to test free agency and not sign long-term with the Jets.

It will be an interesting summer for Winnipeg to see what the team does and the direction they go.
