NHL trade rumors continue to circulate around Calgary Flames defenseman Noah Hanifin. He has been linked to the Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Minnesota Wild.
It appears one other team has interest in the services of Hanifin and that is the Nashville Predators.
Will Noah Hanifin be traded to the Nashville Predators?
Calgary Flames management has been informed by Noah Hanifin that he has little interest in signing a contract extension with the team. This has sparked numerous NHL rumors surrounding him.
Hanifin is looking to play for a U.S.-based team. Would the Nashville Predators be a fit?
Ann Kimmel of The Hockey News reports that the Predators have $8 million in salary cap space and they are one of the few teams that could take on Hanifin’s contract without trading a roster player.
Kimmel went on to say in her online piece that Hanifin would give the Preds a solid top-four defenseman and, hopefully, a long-term asset for Nashville going forward.
A first-round pick and top prospect is likely the asking price the Predators would have to pony up to acquire Noah Hanifin.
Fans will lose their minds if the Flames only get picks and no roster player. I would start the fire Conroy petition myself.
