Pittsburgh looking to trade Alex Galchenyuk
TSN: Pierre LeBrun reports the Pittsburgh Penguins have started to talk to teams and let them know they’re willing to move Alex Galchenyuk.
LeBrun believes the Penguins in return would look for either a draft pick or a bottom-six forward because that’s where he’s playing right now. He’s essentially a fourth liner. It’s not a good fit for his skillset to be in that role.
For whatever reason, it hasn’t worked out in Pittsburgh and the Penguins certainly could move Galchenyuk between now and the NHL trade deadline.
Will the Montreal Canadiens trade Max Domi?
Le Journal de Montreal: The Montreal Canadiens are deciding what to do with Max Domi.
Domi has the talent to carry the Canadiens team offensively, but he also has the gift of making bad decisions which result in turnovers.
At the end of the NHL season, Domi will become a restricted free agent. GM Marc Bergevin has already said that there is no rush to offer him a contract extension.
The two sides will have time to negotiate a contract over the summer. But if Bergevin has the impression that Domi will demand the moon to continue his playing time in Montreal, he could listen to offers for Domi and the trade deadline.
