The Flyers likely to be sellers at the NHL Trade Deadline

Philly.com: The Philadelphia Flyers will likely be sellers at the NHL Trade Deadline. Defenceman Mark Streit and Nick Schultz, along with winger Matt Read, will be the possible trade candidates as GM Ron Hextall tries to free up more cap space.

Edmonton Oilers seeking defensive help through trade

The Hockey News: The Edmonton Oilers need defensive help and they could be targeting the New York Islanders’ Travis Hamonic and the Anaheim Ducks’ Sami Vatanen as possible targets. The Oilers will likely shop one of their good young forwards, like right wing Jordan Eberle or center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, for a blueliner.

Will the Canucks be buyers or sellers?

TSN.ca: No one is really sure what the Vancouver Canucks will do at the trade deadline? If Vancouver can get themselves back in the postseason hunt, then general manager Jim Benning might be interested in acquiring a few assets. If the Canucks start to slide the other way, there could be some notable names on the move. Forwards Radim Vrbata and Brandon Prust as well as defenceman Dan Hamhuis will all be unrestricted free-agents come July 1 and have good chances of being moved.
