In the latest NHL injury news the Seattle Kraken have lost forward Brandon Tanev for the season after he suffered a torn ACL in his knee.
Tanev had sought a second opinion hoping his season would not be over, but surgery is the best option for his knee if he wants to continue his playing career.
Tanev finished the season with nine goals and six assists and his energy on the ice was key for the Kraken. He scored six goals in Seattle’s first eight games and has one of two short-handed goals this season for the Kraken.
Tanev has three more years left on his contract with a salary cap hit of $3.5 million.
