Jake Allen
The Montreal Canadiens have signed goalie Jake Allen to a two-year contract extension worth $7.7 million that include a modified no-trade clause.

After an offseason of NHL rumors circulating that the Habs could trade Jake Allen, team management has decided to have Allen stick around for another two years.

Allen will be the Montreal Canadiens starting goalie and mentor young goalies Cayden Primeau and Samuel Montembeault.

Details of the Jake Allen contract

Jake Allen agreed to a two-year $7,700,000 contract extension on October 1, 2022. His contract will have a Habs salary cap hit of $3,850,000 for the next two years.

Allen’s contract does include a no-trade clause that has a 7 team no-trade list in 2023-24 and a 3 team no-trade list in the 2024-25 NHL season.
