The Dallas Stars and Oettinger have agreed to a 3-year, $12 million deal with an AVV of $4 million.

The deal leaves Dallas with $7.5 million in remaining Stars salary cap space to hopefully sign RFA Jason Robertson.

Oettinger, 23, appeared in 48 games for Dallas last season, posting a 30-15-1 record and a 2.53 goals against average.

Year 1: $1.4 million salary & $1 million signing bonus
Year 2: $4.8 million salary
Year 3: $4.8 million salary

When Oettinger’s contract expires, he will still be an RFA with an $4.8 million qualifying offer & 1 year from UFA eligibility.
