It is likely the Minnesota Wild will trade Matt Dumb at some point during the season or off-season.

NHL trade rumors have been going around in the off-season that Minnesota Wild GM Bill Guerin has been shopping Matt Dumba for a #1 center.

Dumba was recently quoted as saying, “This is where I want to be,” “I don’t want to move nowhere.”

There’s no hard feelings on Dumba’s end; he understands Guerin has to do his due diligence to improve the team. Dumba stated, transparency between me and Billy has been good. I’ve honestly (blocked out) a lot of those thoughts when I do see (the trade rumors).”

As written in a previous article, Dumba is the only one of the top-four defenceman on the team lacking a no-movement clause which means that if Guerin does not make a trade Dumba could be exposed in the expansion draft and loose him for nothing to the Seattle Kraken.
