NHL trade rumors have been going around for a while that the Minnesota Wild might trade defenseman Matt Dumba before the season is over. Dumba is projected to start the season in the top four, but the Wild still has to make a decision on him before the NHL expansion draft.
The Wild need a #1 center and GM Bill Guerin has dangled Dumba in the past, and has proven he’s not afraid to pull the trigger if he thinks it will make the Wild better.
Dumba is the only one of the top-four defenceman on the team lacking a no-movement clause which means that if Guerin does not make a trade Dumba could be exposed in the expansion draft and loose him for nothing to the Seattle Kraken.
