Edmonton Oilers interested in Josh Anderson
NHL trade rumors for November 27, 2022 feature the Oilers looking for a power forward and they may target the Habs Josh Anderson.

Ever since the Edmonton Oilers lost Evander Kane to his injury, GM Ken Holland has been working the phones to see what is available on the trade market to replace Kane.

Kane is expected to be out of the Oilers lineup for 4 months and rumors are even if he comes back this year, he still may not be 100% because the cut on his arm went so deep, he just will not have the power in his wrist to shoot.

Oilers looking to make a trade for a power forward

Elliotte Friedman was on Hockey Night in Canada on Sportsnet and reported the Edmonton Oilers are looking for a forward who has some edge, and can grind.

Friedman went on to say ever since the Oilers lost Evander Kane to injury they’re a little easy to play against.

Will the Oilers make a Josh Anderson trade?

Josh Anderson has been available for a trade since the offseason. He has been tied to the New York Islanders and Calgary Flames but a trade never materialized.

Habs GM Kent Hughes is reportedly asking for a lot in an Anderson trade. The key piece is a 2023 1st round pick that no team wants to give up because the 2023 draft is expected to be a good one. View the 2023 NHL mock draft.

Anderson, 28, has a $5.5 million AVV and owns a modified no-trade clause where he submits a 8 team no trade list up to the 2024-25 season and a 5 team no trade list in the 2026-2027 season.
