Picture of Evgeny Kuznetsov. Will he be traded to the Colorado Avalanche.
Evgeny Kuznetsov has requested a trade out of Washington and Colorado could be where he ends up this offseason.

The Colorado Avalanche will be looking to add a centerman this offseason. The Avs need to fill the second line center position and Evgeny Kuznetsov appears to be on the Avalanche radar.

It was reported earlier this year that Kuznetsov had requested to be traded out of Washington.

Will Evgeny Kuznetsov be trade to Colorado?

Elliotte Friedman was on his 32 Thoughts Podcast and has stated that the Colorado Avalanche are a possible destination for Evgeny Kuzetsov.

With the Avs losing Nazem Kadri to free agency, injuries and Colorado not being sold on J.T. Compher being the 2nd line center, the Avalanche are looking to secure that position for next season.

Kuznetsov does have a Capitals salary cap hit of $7.8 million for the next two seasons so the Caps would likely have to retain some salary for a trade to the Avs to work.

What are NHL fans saying about a Evgeny Kuznetsov trade to the Avs?

With an almost $8 million salary cap hit, not sure his contract is tradeable.

The Avalanche will need more than Kuznetsov if they want to be Stanley Cup contenders again.

He needs a change of scenery. I think Kuznetsov going to the Avs would be a great addition.
