Patrick Kane has been chatted about quite often this offseason. But the big question is, does he want to be traded? Maybe he wants to hang around for the Chicago Blackhawks rebuild.
NHL trade rumors have mentioned the Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers and the Edmonton Oilers as the three teams linked to a Patrick Kane trade.
Kane has not come out publicly and state he wants to be traded like Jonathan Toews. Toews has stated he wants to be no part of a rebuild.
What NHL rumors are floating around currently about a Patrick Kane trade?
Elliotte Friedman was on his 32 Thoughts Podcast and was talking about Kane. Friedman stated, until proven otherwise, I think the New York Rangers are the most likely destination although there are a lot of variables there.
A Patrick Kane trade will all depend on if a team has the salary cap space to take on his contract, do they have the assets that the Chicago Blackhawks want for Kane and ultimately Kane will decide if he wants to be traded and the destination of his choice.
Does Patrik Kane want to be a Chicago Blackhawk for life?
Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports that Kane really wants to stay in Chicago. He wants to break every record in the Blackhawks book.
He wants to pass Stan Mikita and Bobby Hull and all that is within his sights.
Lazerus went on to say in his piece that Kane has three Stanley Cups, an MVP, a Conn Smythe award and now he wants to be the greatest Blackhawks of all time.
