Arizona Coyotes fans are starting to ask, where are we going to play next year? Their lease was not renewed in Glendale and currently they are without an arena to play in next year.
Chris Johnston was on NHL Insider Trading and reports, the Coyotes are still working on a place to play next year. Johnston believes the Coyotes will be in Arizona next year and years to come.
Rumors have the Coyotes having an arena built in Tempe. That will take a few years. A temporary home solution is to play at the Arizona Diamonbacks baseball stadium which is a domed stadium. The Tampa Bay Lightning did this while they were getting their own permanent rink built.
By the time the arena is built is when Auston Matthews becomes a free agent. Do the Coyotes look at the long-term and recruit Matthews to their new arena?
The last resort the NHL will look at is relocating the team to Quebec and have the Quebec Nordiques born again.
