The Chicago Blackhawks have gotten off to a horrible start this year. They are 0-5-1 after the first six games and NHL Rumors are starting to circulate that it is time for the Blackhawks to start over.
Larry Brooks of the New York Post stated, so, when does the talk begin to kick in about Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews, each with two years remaining on contracts with matching cap hits of $10.5 million per and no-move clauses, becoming available at the NHL trade deadline in a trade out of Chicago?
Like Brooks mentioned, Kane and Toews do have full no-move clauses and it will be up to them if they want to leave Chicago or stay until their contract is up.
An interesting scenario could be a Kane trade involving Buffalo Sabres Jack Eichel. If the Blackhawks continue to struggle as the season goes on, more trade chatter will evolve involving the duo of Kane and Toews.
