The Washington Capitals have signed Dylan Strome to a 5-year, $25 million extension which does not include a no-trade clause.

The Washington Capitals have secured forward Dylan Strome to a 5-year, $25 million contract extension which gives the Capitals a yearly salary cap hit of $5 million.

Strome was slated to be an unrestricted free again this summer and his new deal keeps him in a Capitals uniform until the 2027-28 NHL season. His new deal does not include a no-trade clause.

Strome, 25, was drafted 3rd overall by the Arizona Coyotes in the 1st round of the 2015 NHL entry draft. Currently over a career that spans 7 seasons, he has a total 206 points in 325 games played, and 3 playoffs points in 9 games played.
