Picture of Linus Ullmark. Will the Boston Bruins trade him this offseason?
The Boston Bruins are stuck in salary cap hell this summer and goalie Linus Ullmark looks to be on the trade block to free up cap space.

Pending Vezina Trophy winner Linus Ullmark appears he could be headed to the NHL rumors mill this offseason.

Ullmark had a year for the ages for goalies by posting a stellar 40-6-1 record with a GAA of 1.89. He also potted one goal this past season.

The problem the Boston Bruins have like many other elite teams in the league is salary cap issues. The Bruins have a projected $6 million in cap space available to fill 7 roster spots.

Which teams could have interest in a Linus Ullmark trade?

Teams were interested in a Linus Ullmark trade last offseason but the Boston Bruins decided to stick with the tandem of Jeremy Swayman and Ullmark.

Ullmark has a Bruins salary cap hit of $5 million for the next two seasons and his current no-move-clause switches to a 16 team no-trade clause on July 1, 2023.

The Bruins seem to be comfortable with Jeremy Swayman becoming the #1 goalie and moving on from Ullmark.

The Pittsburgh Penguins and Ottawa Senators are two teams that could pursue Ullmark to help in their bids to make the playoffs next season.

It will be an interesting summer for the Bruins to see what moves GM Don Sweeney makes.

What are Bruins fans saying about Linus Ullmark?

If I’m Boston, i give serious thought to trading Linus Ullmark at the height of his value. many teams would be interested.

I think the Bruins trade Swayman and keep Ullmark. He is the better goalie.

I hate the NHL salary cap. My team is being dismantled because of the hard cap. We have no choice but to trade Ullmark.
