Auston Matthews wins the Hart Trophy
Auston Matthews wins the Hart Trophy and Ted Lindsay Award. Will his next award be a huge contract win with the Arizona Coyotes in two years?

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews was the big winner at the NHL Awards as he won the Hart Trophy as the leagues MVP and the Ted Lindsay Award as the most outstanding player as voted by the players.

Matthews led the league with 60 goals and registered 106 points in 73 games.

Matthews, 24, has two more seasons under contract with the Maple Leafs before he becomes an unrestricted free agent.

You have to believe he will be re-signed to another long-term deal with the Leafs, but next summer you can look out for NHL trade rumors stating that he will be going back home to play for the Arizona Coyotes.
