A shakeup is coming in Vancouver and the latest NHL trade rumors have the Canucks looking to trade Brock Boeser.

With the Vancouver Canucks off to a horrid start sporting a 6-11-2 record and watching the playoffs slip away, the team needs a shakeup ASAP before they are out of playoff contention.

The two untouchables on the team are Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes. Everyone else is available for a trade. Vancouver will not be firing coach Travis Green or GM Jim Benning, so a player shakeup is coming.

Rob Simpson of Vancouver Hockey Now reports that Brock Boeser’s name has been “out there” since the off-season, but the trade talk has heated up in recent days.

Boeser is in the final year of a three-year deal that’s paying him $7.5-million in actual salary with a salary cap hit of $5.875-million. Boeser does not have a no-trade clause, so he can be traded to any team.

It will be interesting to see if Boeser is traded in the next few days before the US Thanksgiving holiday or at some point next week?

Forward J.T Miller has also been mentioned in the NHL trade rumors mill. I will have another writeup about him tomorrow morning if he is not traded at some point today.
