NHL trade rumors for April 10, 2022 feature the Ottawa Senators looking to make a Kevin Fiala trade this offseason.

The Minnesota Wild will need to shed some salary next season as the Wild have a big salary cap hit against them with the buyouts of Ryan Suter and Zach Parise. With the Wild in a cap crunch they may be forced to trade Kevin Fiala if they can’t re-sign him to a team friendly cap hit this offseason.

Ian Mendes of The Athletic reports the Ottawa Senators need to add a high-end forward to the lineup this offseason and the player they should target is Fiala.

Mendes went on to say, the Senators are going to have to send some valuable assets to the Wild for a trade to happen. Fiala, 25, is a huge part of the Wild’s success, with 23 goals and 61 points this season.

Fiala will also require a new contract as he is a pending RFA. Fiala would be a great acquisition for the Sens, but are the Sens willing to give up assets, plus commit to a long-term contract for a Fiala trade?
