Edmonton defenseman Evan Bouchard is a restricted free agent and due a new contract this summer. The NHL trade rumors mill have the Oilers possibly making a Bouchard trade this summer because of salary constraints.

Evan Bouchard trade coming this summer?

NHL Analyst Frank Seravalli was on the Oilers Nation podcast and was asked about what the Edmonton Oilers will do with Bouchard this summer.

Seravalli went on to say in his podcast hit that there is no way Oilers management and Bouchard’s camp can agree on a long-term deal. He see’s a possibility of a bridge deal.

If Bouchard has no interest in a bridge deal and wants to cash in now on an seven to eight year long term deal, Seravalli feels the Oilers will trade Evan Bouchard this summer.

Bouchard wont go anywhere, he is smart and will take a bridge deal.

I could see the Oilers buying out Cody Ceci to keep Bouchard.
