TSN’s Darren Dreger is reporting Arizona Coyotes GM Bill Armstrong is looking to make significant changes to the Arizona Coyotes. And that means trading core players.

If the Coyotes are looking to start another rebuild, the one player teams will be calling Armstrong about is Clayton Keller. Keller carries a $7.15 million cap hit and is signed though the 2027-28 NHL season.

Keller, 22, has a no-trade-clause in his contract but that does not kick in until the 2024-25 season.

If Armstrong is looking to get blue chip prospects and 1st round draft picks, Keller is a trade piece Armstrong can use as the Coyotes start another rebuild.

Teams that are looking to make a big move and have the assets and salary cap space to take on Keller’s contract are the LA Kings, New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers.

The Boston Bruins would love to make a trade for Keller as they have the cap space next year with David Kejci’s contract coming off the books but they lack the assets to make a trade.
