The Columbus Blue Jackets will be looking to trade Max Domi at the NHL Trade Deadline on April 12. Since his trade from the Montreal Canadiens, he has made very little impact with the Blue Jackets.
Domi has struggled under coach John Tortorella. Domi was brought in to be a second line centre and he is currently playing fourth line left wing with seven points in 26 games this season.
It looks like Domi needs a change of scenery to rejuvenate his career. Domi has another year left on his contract with a $5.3 million cap hit.
If another team were to take a chance on Domi, it is likely the Blue Jackets will have to eat some of his salary or add a sweetener to a trade. Columbus right now is selling low on Domi but if they want to free up more cap space for this off-season, they may look to trade him at the NHL trade deadline.
