NHL trade deadline 2022 has finally arrived. Most of the big names that were on the TSN and Sportsnet trade bait list have been traded besides Jakob Chychrun and Marc-Andre Fleury.
Darren Dreger was on Toronto’s TSN radio and was asked if Marc-Andre Fleury would be traded and will the Toronto Maple Leafs make a trade for him?
Dreger feels the Leafs tried last week to make a trade for Brandon Hagel and Fleury but GM Kyle Dubas did not want to give up a first round pick so a deal fell through.
Dreger stated the Leafs will likely pass on Fleury but a team like the Minnesota Wild could make a trade for Fleury today. Wild GM Bill Geurin is willing to make a Fleury trade in the hopes of the Wild having a deep playoff run as he feels his teams current goaltending situation will not make that happen.
