Jake DeBrusk has been in the NHL trade rumor mill for well over a year with the Boston Bruins unable to find a suitor to complete the trade.
The Bruins have now signed DeBrusk to a two-year contract extension worth $8 million with an AVV of $4million.
Elliotte Friedman via twitter states the DeBrusk signing by the Bruins is very interesting. His trade request has not been rescinded. The worry about his qualifying offer/next contract is erased, however. We will see where it goes.
It is still believed if DeBrusk is not traded by the trade deadline, he will be traded in the offseason.
NHL rumors have the Vancouver Canucks as the team with the most interest in a DeBrusk trade.
